Tricks to Engage Your Attendees

Getting people to show up to your event is half the battle the other half is keeping them engaged while they are there. Here are a few tips to keep in mind for the day of the event.


Creativity – Being creative goes a long way, get people talking as soon as they walk in the door. If it is a themed event having your attendees immersed in the culture it is a great way to get people excited about the event upon arrival.


Senses – Playing to the senses is a huge part in developing a successful event. Remember to incorporate elements into your event that will entice people’s sense of: smell, touch, taste, sight and what they hear. 


Information – It’s all about information. The more information you give, the more engaged your attendees will be. Knowledge is power and unless it is social, you are hosting an event to gather people for a reason. Be sure to explain the relevance of your event every chance you get.   Utilize technology to get the information out by using items such as iPad kiosks, they are a great learning tool you can utilize throughout your event.


Entertainment – It is so important to have the right entertainment for your event. Inside tip:  always consider your demographics before choosing.


Signage – Always, always remember to have great signage. After all, it’s an extension of your brand.   Engage your attendees and educate them about your event and ‘brand culture’.  Use images of your previous work if it’s the right time and place for it.  A byproduct of hosting an event is to establish your credibility, define who you are as a company, and showcase what you represent.  Great signage will reinforce your event brand and message.


Contests & Games – Everyone likes to be a winner! Including contests or virtual game

stations for your attendees is a fun way to get people engaged. It also creates memorable moments that last beyond the event.
