Director of Business Development

John Oney was raised in Northeast Pennsylvania and now resides in Lakeland with his wife Jennifer. After graduating from Pennsylvania State University in the late 90's with a degree in Professional Golf Management and Business Management, John followed his career goals in the golf industry. While earning his Class A PGA membership he began his career in club management holding numerous titles at resort, public and private golf courses.    
 
After 10 successful years as a golf professional, John was sought out by a start up company to take on a non-traditional PGA role as a development specialist for a web-based golf tournament planner. While developing this in depth tournament planner, John gained tremendous experience as the Director of Business Development. His primary responsibilities were focused on creating and achieving company business policies, identifying strategic industry partnerships, and leading a technical tournament support team servicing over 2000 clients and tournaments nationwide. His positive attitude, creativity and dedication to the success of our events is unmatched.
